This year marks the 10th anniversary of Chengdu-Bonn sister-city relationship.The 2019 Chengdu World Police & Fire Department Games will kick off in August.Therefore, our reporters paid a visit to Bonn, Germany and the Flemish Brabant Province of Belgium. They made a Vlog about the friendship between them and Chengdu.

飞行在距离中国西部城市成都近5000英里的欧洲西部地带，西欧的第一大河，浪漫的莱茵河从一座美丽的城市旁边流淌而过，这是我们此行的第一站，德国波恩。

5,000 miles away from Chengdu, we arrived in a beautiful city by the Rhine, the longest river in Europe.This is our first stop, Bonn in Germany.

1770年的冬天，世界著名的作曲家贝多芬在这里出生，音乐便像血液一样流淌在波恩的大街小巷。穿梭在这座和成都一样拥有两千多年历史的文化古城中，你会发现在工作日的下午，人们在广场上肆意地享受着阳光和美酒。我想在对于音乐和生活的热爱上，波恩和成都似乎分享着同样的默契。

The great composer Beethoven was born in Bonn during the winter of 1770. Music is in the blood of the people of Bonn. Like Chengdu, my hometown,Bonn is a city with a history of more than 2,000 years.Also, people like enjoying wine in the afternoon sunshine on weekdays in the square.Though tens of thousands of miles apart, the two cities share the same attitude toward life and music.

平日里宁静祥和的集市广场上如今挤满了被天府文化吸引而来的波恩市民。水袖、变脸、茶艺、清音、琵琶、皮影，还有各种成都特色美食小吃一一登场。国之交在于民相亲，见证所有的外国友人为家乡成都的文化一次又一次的鼓掌叫好，如果你也置身其中，一定会忍不住热泪盈眶。

The local people are drawn by the Tianfu culture to the usually quiet square for performances of sleeve dancing, face-changing, tea ceremonies,qingyin, pipa, shadow puppets and Chengdu snacks.What makes two nations truly close is the cultural exchanges between the people.

The rounds of applause from the local people brought tears of pride to my eyes.

2019年是成都与波恩建立友好城市关系10周年，也是波恩即将开启贝多芬诞辰250周年纪念活动的一年，当大熊猫遇上贝多芬，这样的化学反应让在场的每个人都兴奋不已。真正的友谊，基于性情的符合，用音符为两座城市谱写未来的篇章再适合不过。成都，波恩，我们期待下一个十年。

2019 is the 10th anniversary of Chengdu and Bonn’s sister-city relationship.Bonn is going to celebrate the 250th birthday of Beethoven. The combination of both pandas and Beethoven caused everyone on site to get excited. Compatibility breeds friendship.Music is the bond between Chengdu and Bonn.The two will be closer than ever in the next decade.

记忆中的比利时像一首间奏曲，周详的计划里藏着随机的渐变，和车窗外快速掠过的风景一起，不知什么时候换了主题。迎接我们的是在2011年与成都缔结友好城市的弗拉芒·布拉邦省。

For me, Belgium is like an intermezzo due to its geographic location.The changing of scenery outside of the window keep reminding us that we have travelled from Germany to the Flemish Brabant Province of Belgium, which became Chengdu’s friend in 2011.

世上最美的词莫过于“虚惊一场”。在被弗拉芒·布拉邦省围绕的比利时首都布鲁塞尔，当地消防局的一次消防演练打破了平日的宁静。今年八月，第18届世界警察和消防员运动会将在在成都举行，这支布鲁塞尔消防队也会作为欧洲的参赛队伍之一，和来自全球的上万名警察和消防员们一起在成都一决高下。

False alarms can be so reassuring. Brussels, Belgium’s capital city is surrounded by the Flemish Brabant Province.The fire department is doing a fire drill.The 18th World Police & Fire Games will be hosted in Chengdu this August.The Brussels fire brigade will take part in the games to compete amongst 10,000 policemen and firemen from around the world.

这里是比利时布鲁塞尔的一间中学，早在2017年的时候这间中学就已经和成都的树德中学有了教学方面的合作。在这座被誉为“欧洲之心”的城市里，欧洲不同的文化和语言都在这里享受着微妙的平衡。

This is a high school in Brussels.Since 2017, it has been cooperating with Chengdu Shude High School in teaching.Brussels is known as the heart of Europe.Different cultures and languages live in harmony here.

一周的友城访问，我们和波恩人民一起享受天府文化的魅力，与布鲁塞尔消防局相约八月不见不散，邂逅了一群爱吃火锅的可爱的中学生，也见证了成都高新区与弗拉芒·布拉邦智慧集群的签约，还与几位在布鲁塞尔自由大学深造的川大学子畅谈梦想。才发现友谊是一面镜子，看到的都是自己的影子。伴随飞机的轰鸣，看着到成都的距离越来越近，当你再次问我最喜欢的旅行是什么，我想那应该是回家的路吧。

During our one-week visit in Chengdu’s international sister cities, we enjoyed Tianfu Culture with residents in Bonn,made a promise with the Brussels fire department to meet in Chengdu in August,got to know high school students who liked hotpot,presented at the signing ceremony between the Chengdu High-tech Zone with the Flemish Brabant Province,and talked with students from Sichuan University studying in Vrije Universiteit Brussel.It occurred to me that friendship is like a mirror, your friend is your reflection.The plane is taking me back to Chengdu.If you ask me my favorite part of the trip,my answer is the journey back home.
